What is India’s rank in the Global Gender Gap Index 2024?

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has recently presented the Global Gender Gap Index 2024 report.

Compared to last year, India has slipped two places this year to 129th position.

Iceland, which has been at the top position for the last decade, has retained its first position this year as well.

Among India’s neighbouring countries, Bangladesh (99), Nepal (111), Sri Lanka (125) and Bhutan (124) are ranked ahead of India. Whereas Pakistan is at 145th position.
