The annual Pushpayagam, which takes place on Saturday evening in Tirupati's Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple, is celebrated with utmost religious fervour.

Traditional floral bath with three tonnes of eleven varieties of flowers and six types of leaves was offered to the processional deities of Sita Lakshmana sameta Sri Rama in the Unjal Mandapam between 3pm and 5pm, to the accompaniment of Vedic mantras. The bath took place in the Unjal Mandapam between 3pm and 5pm.

Grihastha followers also took part in the festivities, and they were enthralled by the entire event with devotion.


The beautiful scent of Maruvam, Davanam, and Panner leaves permeates the whole temple complex and surrounding area.


Prior to it, there was a parade of flowers and leaves.

Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed for the deities in the early hours of the morning. All of the ceremonies were carried out by Kankanabhattar Sri Ananda Kumar Deekshitulu and his colleagues, who are temple priests.


Among those in attendance were Temple DyEO Smt Nagaratna, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, AEO Sri Durgaraju, Farm Manager Sri Janardhan, Superintendent Sri Ramesh Kumar, Temple Inspectors Sri Jay Kumar and Sri Muniratnam, and AEO Sri Durgaraju
