What is the meaning of ’Laissez Faire Policy’?

Laissez-faireis an economic system in which transactions between private parties are free from government intervention such as regulation, privileges, tariffs, and subsidies. It is a policy of minimum governmental interference in the economic affairs of individuals and society. The British economist John Stuart Mill brought this philosophy into popular economic usage.
