A hemispherical bowl of internal diameter 54 cm contains a liquid. The liquid is to be filled in cylindrical bottles of radius 3 cm and height 9 cm. How many bottles are required to empty the bowl?

a

221

b

343

c

81

d

243

e

162

Answer : Option E
Explanation :

Volume of hemi-sphere = 23×π×(27)3cm3frac{2}{3} imes pi imes {(27)^3}{ m{c}}{{ m{m}}^3}

Volume of cylindrical bottle = πr2hpi {r^2}h

=π×(3)2×9 = pi imes {(3)^2} imes 9

∴ Required No. of bottles = =23π×(27)3π×(3)2×9 = frac{{frac{2}{3}pi imes {{(27)}^3}}}{{pi imes {{(3)}^2} imes 9}}

=2×3×27=162 bottles
