Area of circle is equal to the area of a rectangle having perimeter of 50cms. and length more than the breadth by 3 cms. What is the diameter of the circle?

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x cms.

$Rightarrow$ Length = (x + 3) cms.

Now, 2(x + x + 3) = 50

$Rightarrow$ 2x + 3 = 25

$Rightarrow$ 2x = 22

$Rightarrow$ x = $frac{{22}}{2} = 11$

$herefore$ Breadth = 11cms. and length = x + 3 = 11 + 3 = 14 cms.

$Rightarrow$ $pi$r² = 14 × 11

$Rightarrow$ r ² = $frac{{14 imes 11 imes 7}}{{22}}$

$Rightarrow$ r = 7 cms.
