Directions(Q.24 to Q.34 ):

Sum of length of two trains A and B is 660. Ratio of speed of A and B is 5 : 8. Ratio between time to cross and electric pole by A and B is 4 : 3. Find the difference in the length of two trains.

Answer : Option B
Explanation :

Sum of length of train = 660

$egin{array}{*{20}{c}}

{{{ m{l}}_1} + {{ m{l}}_2} = 660}\

{{{ m{S}}_{ m{A}}}:{{ m{S}}_{ m{B}}} = 5:8}

end{array}$

Let speed be 5x and 8x

And time taken to cross pole be 4y, 3y

So,

5x × 4y + 8x × 3y = 660

44xy = 660 ⇒ xy = 15

l1 – l2 = 24xy – 20xy

= 4xy ⇒ 60
