Equation of a line is taken as 3x – 4y + 5 = 0. Its slope and intercept on y-axis ;

a

(34,54)left(frac{3}{4}, frac{-5}{4} ight)

b

(34,54)left(frac{3}{4}, frac{5}{4} ight)

c

(34,54)left(frac{-3}{4}, frac{-5}{4} ight)

d

(54,34)left(frac{5}{4}, frac{3}{4} ight)

Answer : Option B
Explanation :

Here,

3x – 4y + 5 = 0

⇒ –4y = – 3x – 5

y=34x54y=frac{-3}{-4} x frac{-5}{-4}

y=34x+54y=frac{3}{4} x+frac{5}{4}

Compare it with, y = mx + c we get

m=34m=frac{3}{4} quad and c=54quad c=frac{5}{4}
