The diameter of a cycle wheel is 14 cm. A cyclist takes 30 minutes to reach a destination at a speed of 11 km/hr. How many revolutions will the wheel make during the journey?

a

15000

b

20000

c

17750

d

12500

Answer : Option D
Explanation :

Distance covered by cyclist in 30 minutes

=(11×518×30×60)=left(11 imes frac{5}{18} imes 30 imes 60 ight) metre =5500=5500 metre

Circumference of wheel = S × diameter

=227×14=44 cm.=frac{22}{7} imes 14=44 mathrm{~cm} .

herefore Number of revolutions =(5500×100)cm.44 cm.=frac{(5500 imes 100) mathrm{cm} .}{44 mathrm{~cm} .}

=12500=12500
