The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the result and NTA scores for the Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2026 on 23 June 2026. Candidates who appeared for CUET UG 2026 can now check their scorecards on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.

This year's result has been declared within just 16 days of the examination's completion — a reduction of 14 days compared to the previous cycle, making it one of the fastest CUET result declarations to date.

CUET UG 2026 Result: Key Highlights

A total of 15,68,867 unique candidates registered for CUET UG 2026, of whom 11,64,098 candidates appeared for the examination. This marks an increase of more than 15% in total registrations and approximately 20% in female candidate participation compared to 2025.

The exam was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 19 days / 35 shifts, generating around 67,56,327 test instances with 12,906 distinct subject combinations — reflecting the massive scale and diversity of the test.

Exam Pattern and Scale

CUET UG 2026 offered candidates significant flexibility:

  • 37 subjects were offered — 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and 1 General Aptitude Test. Candidates could choose up to a maximum of five subjects.
  • 332 unique question papers (18,160 unique questions) and 996 total question papers were administered.
  • The medium of the question paper was available in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
  • The exam was held in 321 exam cities, including 13 cities outside India: Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait City, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, West Java, and Washington.

English remained by far the most popular medium with 13,22,441 registrations, followed by Hindi (2,18,058), Bengali (11,857), and Tamil (11,169).

  • 1 candidate achieved a 100 percentile score in four out of five opted subjects.
  • 22 candidates scored 100 percentile in 3 subjects.

The candidate with Application Number 263510269243 topped the merit list with an aggregate NTA score of 1232.19 across five subjects. The second-highest aggregate was 1230.82 (Application Number 263510280526), followed by 1207.21 in third place.

The top female candidate scored 1232.19, while the top male candidate scored 1230.82, showing an extremely close margin at the very top.
