Selection Process for SBI Probationary Officer
The recruitment runs through three distinct phases. Each phase has its own role in shaping the final merit list.
Phase I: Preliminary Examination
This online objective test carries 100 marks and lasts one hour. It has three sections: English Language (40 questions), Quantitative Aptitude (30 questions), and Reasoning Ability (30 questions), each with separate timing. Phase II: Main Examination

Salary and Pay Scale
The starting basic pay for an SBI PO is Rs. 48,480 (with 4 advance increments) on the scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 under Junior Management Grade Scale-I. Officers are also entitled to DA, HRA, CCA, Provident Fund, NPS, LFC, medical benefits, lease rental, and other allowances.
