Important Things to Keep in Mind
This is the part many candidates overlook. A few hard truths from the notification:
- This is not a job. Apprenticeship is structured on-the-job training. The Bank has no obligation to offer regular employment after the one-year contract ends.
- No union activity allowed. Apprentices cannot join or form any union body.
- One application only. Multiple applications lead to cancellation — only the last valid one is retained.
- No data changes after submission. Fill carefully.
- Aadhaar is mandatory before contract signing.
- Posting is at the Bank's discretion — you may not get your preferred district.
- After completing apprenticeship, Admit Card you must clear an assessment test to receive the certificate.

Should You Apply?
If you're a recent graduate (post-April 2022), aged 20–28, and looking for structured exposure to public sector banking — yes, this is worth your time. The stipend is modest but real, the experience is genuine, and the Union Bank name carries weight on a resume. Just go in with clear eyes: it's a one-year training, not a guaranteed job.
The window is short — applications close on 19 May 2026 — so don't wait for the last day. Heavy traffic on the final day is a real risk, and the Bank explicitly states it won't take responsibility for failed submissions due to load issues.
